Kendra’s varied background in non-profit organizations, associations and consulting is the perfect fit to lead Vault’s HR strategy, organizational development, and personnel investment initiatives. She drives creative process improvement for internal systems, designs forward-thinking policies and programs, and executes plans for long-term growth. A true collaborator, Kendra leads bold change that aligns people practices with corporate culture. Kendra develops award-winning workplace structures and supports modern practices through HR community engagement. She serves as a subject matter expert for HR credentialing organizations.
Prior to joining Vault, Kendra was a consultant working with small and mid-sized organizations on full scope HR services. She delivered policy guidance, implemented leadership and culture change initiatives, developed and executed engaging management level and firm-wide training in areas of leadership development, conflict resolution and performance management. Due to Kendra’s considerable talent in finding common ground, she has been labeled a fierce employee advocate as well as an astute business leader. Prior to consulting, Kendra served as Vice President of Administration, Human Resources of CHI Health Care, where she led human resources, finance, marketing and IT functions. Throughout her career in operations and human resources, she has enjoyed leading collaborative teams to execute growth and development plans.
Kendra’s ability to drive results and execute multiple priorities makes her a key member of Vault’s leadership team. She develops systems and processes that are a win: win for both organization and individual. She is unwavering in her drive to make work enjoyable, productive and successful.
When Kendra is not innovating at work, she mentors young women in Girls Scouts to learn leadership skills, runs local elections as a precinct Chief Officer in the City of Alexandria, and executes community development projects. She also enjoys hiking any trail in front of her – no matter how challenging.
Kendra earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Bard College where she studied art history, as well as a Master of Arts from the University of Denver in International Administration. She served overseas with the United States Peace Corps, working in the Municipal and NGO sector. She has both HRCI and SHRM senior human resources certifications and is a member of SHRM national and local NOVA SHRM chapters.
