Meredith believes if it is worth doing, then it is worth doing well. Having grown up as the daughter of a top executive on the consulting side of one of the Big 4, accounting runs deep in her blood. Performing CFO services and financial management for clients is something Meredith does with rigor and passion—as the staunch accountant quadruple checks her numbers to ensure accuracy and reliability.

She has been specializing in the nonprofit community for over 25 years and has come to learn that no one solution is fit for every organization. Her ethic rings true to the partnership approach embedded in Vault’s culture. She focuses on translating her strengths into value for clients. Meredith works diligently to penetrate significant numbers into the surface, so that client executives and boards of directors can build a foundation for strategic business decisions. Whether it is taking the time to explain financial literacy on terms relatable to BODs representing various industries or shuffling her schedule around to accommodate her clients’ immediate needs, Meredith remains flexible.

Meredith leads the outsourced accounting business unit and focuses on strategies to enhance client partnerships and ensure we are providing strategic counsel. She works closely with the leadership team to focus on recruiting top notch professionals and actively provides guidance and mentorship by passing down her wisdom to the future leaders of Vault.

Her 25+ years of experience has been exclusively serving the nonprofit community, providing outsourced accounting and CFO services as well as a full range of business advisory and consulting services. This gives her deep expertise of the challenges nonprofits face. She can often be found providing guidance on the management and preparation of financial statements, analysis of financial statement variances, compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial projections and cash management, budgeting and tax compliance, planning for unrelated business income tax, federal and non-federal grant reporting and compliance, and indirect cost rate calculations and submission. She also provides other consulting services including the design and implementation of accounting policies and procedures and investment procedures.

An area Meredith excels in is reporting and compliance as it pertains to federal grants. After years of experience, she has now become the go-to leader for staff working on anything related to federal grant forms and processes. She frequently presents financial information at board meetings and works with Board members and/or committees on various issues related to nonprofit organizations, as well as providing annual training to new board members regarding the finance function. She has dealt with mergers of national associations and has designed procedures and controls to eliminate redundancies. She assists nonprofit organizations with their audit and tax preparation and provides general business consulting relating to meeting registration processes and logistics, procedures and reconciliations.

Meredith is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is a former board member of Community Cats of Palm Coast. With a passion for animals, she and her husband are avid supporters to local and national animal shelters and take great pleasure in caring for their rescue pets.
