Laura Dickens is an HR Coordinator in Vault Consulting’s human resource services business unit. She has over five years of nonprofit human resource experience. She is responsible for benefits and payroll administration, creating and advising on job descriptions, compensation research and benchmarking, as well as creating and maintaining HR recordkeeping and policy structures.
Laura served as a finance and accounting professional for over ten years on both nonprofit and consulting teams and has a wealth of operational and administrative experience. She understands the intersect between HR and finance as well as how to create good processes for efficient, effective, and compliant administration.
Her work as Senior Staff Accountant & Benefits Administrator at a local non-profit, the Military Women’s Memorial (MWM) in Arlington, VA provided foundational support to a growing organization. Prior to MWM, Laura was on the operations team at an accounting firm in Old Town, VA working closely with the controller, she established and maintained personnel and vendor files, maintained close relationships with clients, and trained seasonal staff.
Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from Liberty University and holds the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification. In her spare time, she volunteers for local races, helps girls learn leadership skills, boats along the Potomac River with her three children and husband, and is always open to traveling somewhere new.
