Rachel is a Director in Vault Consulting’s research department. She has over 10 years of experience working closely with associations to provide research that both the association and their members can benefit from. Rachel teams with associations to develop benchmarking reports that create a window into the industry and give members the ability to measure themselves against their competitors.
What she finds most interesting about the process is learning how members use the reports. She believes usability is a key driver of successful research, and often an undervalued step of the process. Members in a professional association will have different resources and goals than those in a trade association; therefore there is no “one size fits all” benchmarking report.
Rachel constantly looks for ways to help clients get more value out of their research projects. She has started to introduce the benefits of business intelligence software to her long-standing clients. This software enhances the look and feel of their current reports while also giving members more power over the data analysis. She views this as the next phase of benchmark reports and aims to help associations with this transition.
